Let’s be honest, no one plans for a broken bone, a bad fall, or an injury that sends you to the ER. But when the unexpected happens, it’s good to know you have a team right here in Alexandria, LA, ready to jump in and help. At Mid State Orthopaedic, Dr. Dan Oas is here to walk you through it, every step, from injury to recovery.
Whether it’s a fractured ankle, a foot injury, or something more complex, we know how important it is to get answers fast and feel like you’re in good hands. That’s exactly what we’re here for.

Meet Dr. Dan Oas
Dr. Oas is one of our fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons who focuses on trauma and foot & ankle care. He’s helped countless patients in Cenla get back on their feet after unexpected injuries. His calm, down-to-earth approach is just what patients need when they’re dealing with the stress and uncertainty of an injury.
“We see people on some of their toughest days. Our job is to make the process as clear and supportive as possible—and help them get back to living life.” – Dr. Dan Oas
What Happens After the Injury?
Whether you come in through Urgent Care, the ER, or a referral from your primary care doctor, our team gets to work fast. We’ll take X-rays right here at the clinic, go over exactly what’s going on, and explain the treatment plan.
Some injuries need a cast or a boot. Others might need surgery. Either way, Dr. Oas works alongside our other orthopedic providers to make sure you’re getting the best care for your specific situation.
Teamwork That Puts You First
One of the things patients tell us they love most about Mid State is how connected everything is. If you need rehab after your injury or surgery, our Mid State Therapy Services is steps away. We keep your care under one roof. This team approach means better communication, faster healing, and less stress for you and your family.
Foot and Ankle Injuries? We’ve Got You.
Dr. Oas has a special interest in treating foot and ankle injuries, which are surprisingly common in both everyday accidents and trauma cases. From sprains and fractures to more complex surgical repairs, he helps patients get back to walking, working, and doing what they love safely and confidently.
