Ville Platte, LA — January 7, 2026 — Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center is pleased to announce that fellowship-trained joint specialist Dr. Rashad J. Sullivan, MD, will begin seeing patients at the established Ville Platte clinic starting in January 2026. Although Mid State Orthopaedic has previously offered orthopedic services at this location, no provider is currently seeing patients there. Dr. Sullivan’s arrival marks the return of dedicated, full-service orthopedic care for Ville Platte and surrounding communities.
The clinic, located at 504 Jack Miller Road, Suite 5, Ville Platte, LA 70586, will once again offer specialized care for patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis, along with comprehensive general orthopedic services—bringing high-quality treatment closer to home for patients throughout the Evangeline and St. Landry parishes.
Dr. Sullivan is fellowship-trained in adult total joint reconstruction, with expertise in primary and revision hip and knee replacement, including robotic-assisted joint procedures. His return to the Ville Platte clinic reflects Mid State Orthopaedic’s ongoing commitment to ensuring Central Louisiana residents have convenient access to specialty care without unnecessary travel.

Dr. Sullivan completed his fellowship in Adult Total Joint Reconstruction at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute, following his orthopedic surgery residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He is certified in MAKO Total Hip and Total Knee procedures and is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
